Mrs. Griffin has been a special education teacher and Resource Specialist since 1975 and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to helping our students succeed. Mrs. Griffin and her special education assistant Ms. Thomas provide both educational therapy and direct co-teaching and collaboration inside the general education classrooms. Mrs. Griffin provides special education assessments, IEP case management, Student Success Team (SST) meetings and academic intervention. We are here to help students with special needs be successful in the general education classrooms. Mrs. Griffin has a lifetime general education Elementary credential, Resource Specialist credential, CLAD credential, Special Education credential, certification in Autism, and a Masters degree in Special Education. She began her career as a Resource Specialist and Educational Therapist at the UCLA Fernald School, was one of the founders of the ERAS (Educational Resources And Services) Center, and was one of the first Resource Specialists in California. Mrs. Griffin is a proud parent and understands first hand the needs of both parents and children in a school environment.
